Oliver I Banks (he/they) is a Londoner and Oxford PPE alum currently working in financial advisory. They have previously written for audiences of up to 7 million, and worked as a managing editor for a nationally recognised not-for-profit newspaper. Oliver then went on to become principal of Oxford’s largest interdisciplinary research journal, publishing more than 600 pages of original research during their tenure.

Aside from developing résumé-ready statistics, Oliver loves to travel. They recently completed a two-month journey from Kosovo to Kyrgzstan, fulfilling part of their aim to circumnavigate the globe eastwards from London. In December, they worked remotely from Vietnam, having been drawn to its complex imperial and ethnic history. On weekends they practice life drawing, and attempt to get to grips with the Russian language!
