Oliver Iskandar Banks is a student and writer. His past roles include writing a culture column for a BAME-run student newspaper. He worked as Editor-at-Large for a website publishing coronavirus analysis based at the University of York. He has written for The Oxford Student and The Cherwell. He is currently an Events Director and Editor of Global Affairs at the Oxford Blue. He also works in arts journalism, writing for a startup. Oliver finds it strange to write in third person, because he is a Real Human Being, promise. He loves to play piano and has made a habit of writing poetry over lockdown. He likes experimental literature and world music. After graduation he hopes to travel the world and write about it.
