Surpassing what may otherwise be a crude dichotomous attempt to negate the methodological issue, Schnuer&#8217;s examination is subtle and academically adept, presenting a fantastic case for applying the mid-century philosopher&#8217;s metaphysics to a pertinent hermeneutical task.
